The Ship Inn - Chester

Good selection of real ales, very friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere.

This is the sister establishment to the excellent Gunnery Although there are similarities in the menu the food isn't as anywhere near as good.

Went to ship inn Chester Saturday 2nd April for a treat from the family for mothers day was very disappointed with the food and service starters goat

We booked to go to The Ship for a family get together. From the time we arrived, we were looked after by the whole team and nothing was too much trouble. From giving us extra portions for starters, so we could split them more easily, to giving us a dash of wine we we joked that some cream had been spilt in an empty glass (which it hadn’t! , the service was exemplary. We were able to stay on our table the whole evening and at no point felt rushed. The food was also amazing, and excellent quality. We will definitely be returning and will rave about this place to anyone who will listen!

Fantastic restaurant and bar, very unique and close to city attractions city wall and river). The service was wonderful very attentive. The meal was delicious. We even went back the night after, still the same service devious meal. We would highly recommend.
